The Diocese of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino will hold a press conference on September 17 in Rome to present the upcoming celebrations for St. Francis, the patron saint of Italy. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Sala Marconi in Palazzo Pio.

The festivities for St. Francis will take place in Assisi on October 3 and 4, 2026. Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, the archbishop of Bologna and president of the Italian Episcopal Conference, along with the bishop of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino, will participate in the presentation.
