The Archdiocese of Birmingham is seeking practicing Catholics to serve as foundation governors or directors for its schools. These roles involve supporting and challenging school leaders to uphold the vision of Archbishop Bernard Longley.

Opportunities exist across the archdiocese's 236 Catholic state schools and academies, as well as its five independent schools. The archdiocese welcomes individuals with all skills and backgrounds to help shape the future of Catholic education.

Last year, the 2025 Education Sunday appeal helped fill more than 140 vacancies within the school system.
