Rescue efforts following the collapse of a six or seven story building in Gaza City are being hindered by a lack of machinery, according to Save the Children. Rescuers are digging through the rubble by hand in some instances.

The building collapse occurred after the structure was previously damaged by an Israeli attack. At least eight children were reportedly killed in the early hours of the day, and dozens of others are among approximately 100 people missing.
