Born in Codroipo on December 14, 1941, Macor was ordained a priest at the Milan Duomo on June 28, 1967. His ministry included serving as a parochial vicar at the Parrocchia S. Maria Assunta in Lissone from 1967 to 1970 and as a spiritual director at the Collegio Arcivescovile di Seregno from 1970 to 1973.
