DCMS upgrades Ashton-in-Makerfield church to Grade II*

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has upgraded a Catholic church in Ashton-in-Makerfield to Grade II* listed status. The church was built between 1925-1930 and is considered one of the finest early-20th century churches in England.
