Fifteen students begin priesthood training for Irish dioceses

Fifteen new students have started training for the priesthood for the 2026–2027 academic year to serve Irish dioceses.

According to the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference, these new students are entering their Propaedeutic Year at various seminaries. This brings the total number of seminarians in formation for Irish dioceses to 74. Of that total, 51 students are currently studying at Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth.
