From Tourists to Pilgrims in Jeju

In brief

Twenty-four young people from Taiwan participated in a five-day Society Invitation to Mission (SIM) program on Jeju Island in July 2025. Led by Columban lay missionary Bae Sihyeon and Father Seok Jinwook Antonio, the program included a visit to the Blessed Felix Kim Gi-ryang Martyr Memorial.

During the visit, participants wrote prayers and burdens on slips of paper and hammered nails into a large wooden cross. Father Antonio noted that this activity helped the youth connect with the concept of martyrdom.
