Anselmo Fabiano makes perpetual oath to Society of African Missions

Anselmo Fabiano made his perpetual oath to the Society of African Missions on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The ceremony took place at the SMA-OLA community in Feriole, in the province of Padua.

Fabiano swore to remain a member of the Society for his entire life to participate in its missionary work, specifically to proclaim the Gospel in Africa. Father Ceferino Cainelli, the Provincial Superior of Italy, presided over the Mass. In his homily, Cainelli spoke of the two families that accompanied Fabiano on his vocational journey: his family of origin and his SMA family.

Fabiano chose his mother, Dalia, and Father Giuseppe Brusegan, a member of the Feriole community, to serve as his witnesses. The event was attended by his family, members of the Society, the Sisters of Our Lady of Africa, and friends.
