Ghanaian Catholic Priest Challenges West African Youth to Use Social Media to Make Christ Trend

Fr. Afriyie noted that the rapid growth of digital technology has created a noisy environment where platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram constantly reach young people. He encouraged youth to examine if their digital lives allow enough room for God and suggested that these platforms should be spaces for witnessing to faith rather than just consuming content.

The priest challenged young people to follow the command to make disciples instead of merely seeking followers or trending online. He encouraged them to become examples that others can imitate, citing St. Paul's exhortation to imitate Christ.
