Hospital São Francisco na Providência de Deus celebrated 100 years since the laying of the foundation stone for its original building. The hospital, located on Rua Conde de Bonfim in the Tijuca neighborhood, marked the anniversary with a Mass.

Founded by the Venerable Ordem Terceira de São Francisco da Penitência, the facility has grown into a hospital complex covering more than 45,000 m². It is one of the oldest and largest hospitals in Rio de Janeiro.
