Interfaith Youth Forum Seeks to Push for Inclusion of Renewable Energy in Kenya’s 2027 Election Agenda

The two day event is scheduled for September 18 to 19 at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Under the theme "Youth in Faith, Renewable Energy Access for Fair and Peaceful Elections in Kenya," the forum will also address the political manipulation of young people leading up to the 2027 general elections. Organizers stated that connecting energy affordability to the electoral context can help drive sustainability in local communities.

The forum is an annual September event convened by Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation Franciscans Africa. They host the gathering in collaboration with the Laudato Si’ Movement Africa, the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and other partners.
