Diocese of Essen secures Johannes-Kessels-Akademie funding until 2031

The Diocese of Essen, the city of Gladbeck, and the Recklinghausen district have secured funding for the Johannes-Kessels-Akademie in Gladbeck through the summer of 2031. The academy is a Catholic vocational college for social and health professions.

The partners plan to end their joint funding after 2031 because the demand for pedagogical specialists is expected to decrease. Students currently enrolled or those who enroll within the next two years can complete their training as scheduled.
