A manual on vocational ministry written by the late Spanish Jesuit priest Alfonso Pedrajas Moreno remained available for download until September 10 through the Centro Virtual de Pedagogía Ignaciana. The center belongs to the Conferencia de Provinciales Jesuitas de América Latina y el Caribe (CPAL).

Pedrajas, known as Father Pica, died in 2009. Following his death, an autobiographical diary titled Historia was released in which he admitted to sexually abusing dozens of minors over several decades, estimating the number at 85. He was never arrested or prosecuted for these crimes.

The 2008 book, Llamados y elegidos? La atenta tarea de la pastoral vocacional, addresses topics such as celibacy, sexual repression, and priest formation. According to Javier Olivera Ravasi, the text includes discussions on homosexuality and compulsion. Pedrajas used the manual to link homosexuality, pedophilia, and the need for affection within a single psychosexual framework.
