Pope Leo XIV inaugurated a new fresco of himself in prayer before the icon of Our Lady of Good Counsel at the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Genazzano on Monday, September 7.

The artwork, created by Marco Innocenzi, joins a tradition of portraits depicting popes who have visited the sanctuary. The Pope unveiled the painting before celebrating Mass on the eve of the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
