Professor Francis O. Ibimiluyi, president of the Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province Laity Council, has called on Catholic lay faithful throughout Nigeria to apply their Christian convictions to public life.

Speaking at a recent event, Ibimiluyi urged the laity to move beyond the church pews and enter the public square to help shape the political future of the nation. He encouraged them to participate in public spaces with a spirit of service, love, integrity, peace, and a commitment to the common good.
