Pope Leo XIV has canceled salary reductions that were implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Pope repealed the 2021 motu proprio titled "A Sustainable Future" issued by Pope Francis. That document originally reduced the salaries of cardinals, dicastery officials, and secretaries, as well as the pay for clerics and religious members due to the pandemic emergency.
