American author Katie Kitamura used a residence provided by the Shakespeare and Company bookstore in Paris to write her latest book, L’Audition.

The book was released in France in August. Kitamura wrote the work while traveling between Lausanne, Rome, and Paris. According to La Croix L’Hebdo, the author stayed in the residence made available by the bookstore to find a space for her writing.
