Motta Visconti in festa per la sua chiesa restaurata

The Archbishop will consecrate the parish church of San Giovanni Battista in Motta Visconti on Sunday, September 27. This ceremony marks the end of extensive restoration work and fulfills an event that has been awaited for 450 years.

The restoration included the creation of new liturgical areas designed by the artist Father Ceriani and a new lighting system. The church also received a mosaic painting by Longaretti, which was transferred from the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.
