Neurodiversity: Awareness & Inclusion in Sacramental Programmes

The Diocese of Salford has introduced a program to help parishes support children and parents with autism, learning disabilities, or other neurodivergent needs during sacramental preparation.

Dr. Minna Moffatt-Feldman of Caritas Salford and Canon Paul Daly announced the effort to address confusion in many parishes regarding how to best provide access to programs such as First Holy Communion. The program aims to assist those who require additional support to participate in these Church rites.
