The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Gietrzwałd will host celebrations on September 12 and 13 to commemorate the apparitions. Archbishop Józef Górzyński, the Metropolitan of Warmia, is encouraging large numbers of pilgrims from across the region to attend the events ahead of next year's major anniversary.

Archbishop Górzyński stated that the anniversary serves as an opportunity for people to renew their faith and more deeply discover the message from Gietrzwałd rather than simply remembering past events.
