Renovation work on the Silves Cathedral concluded on August 31, including the installation of a new door to allow access for people with reduced mobility.

The project, which began last October, was funded by the Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR). According to the Diocese of Faro, the works involved repairing roofs and facades, as well as the conservation and restoration of stonework. The project also included protecting openings with frame netting.
