Bishop Vito presides over Eucharistic celebration

Bishop Vito will preside over a Eucharistic celebration and a procession in Rieti on Sunday, October 4, to mark the eighth centenary of the death of St. Francis. The event begins at 18.30 at the San Francesco Nuovo parish in Piazza Tevere, followed by a torchlight procession toward the Cathedral.

The Diocese of Rieti–San Salvatore Maggiore announced that Monsignor Piccinonna will lead a preparatory triduo at Franciscan sanctuaries in the Valle Santa Reatina. On October 1, the community will pray the Rosary at the Santuario de La Foresta. On October 2, the Santuario di Poggio Bustone will host a Eucharistic celebration for peace. On October 3, the Transito of St. Francis will be celebrated at the Santuario di Fontecolombo.

Earlier on October 4, the Bishop will preside over a Eucharistic celebration and a procession with an image of St. Francis at the Santuario di Greccio at 16.
