Leo XIV calls Church to listen to people

Leo XIV began a catechesis cycle on Gaudium et spes, calling the Church to listen to people and recognize signs of the times in the light of the Gospel. He emphasized the need for the Church to be close to women and men of our time, to listen to their deepest questions and serve humanity. The Pope also stressed that Christians cannot remain passive in the face of injustice, discrimination, and violence.
