Central Papua Governor Mecky Fritz Nawipa and Dogiyai Yudas Tebai joined Church leaders to begin construction of the SMP YPPK St. Fransiskus Asisi Dioudimi dormitory. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, September 7, 2026, on the school grounds in Omakapau.

The project will establish dormitories for boys and girls at the school. Government officials and various stakeholders attended the ceremony to mark the start of the building process.
