Phoenix Education Center opens for seminarians and mental health

The Diocese of Phoenix opened a new education center on Wednesday, Sept. 10, to train future priests and mental health professionals. The center, located in the Arizona Center complex in downtown Phoenix, serves as a partnership between Nazareth Seminary, the diocese's Mental Health Ministry, and the University of Mary.

Bishop John Dolan led the ribbon cutting ceremony, which included Nazareth Seminary leaders, seminarians, and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. The center aims to educate seminarians for the growing diocese while expanding training for Catholic mental health workers to meet increasing local demand for care.
