Pope confirms Chinese bishop

Pope Leo XIV appoints Father Francis Xavier Duan Yongkun as coadjutor bishop of Bameng in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Duan was ordained Wednesday. The pope also appointed Father Joseph Chang Yanfeng as the new bishop of Chifeng.
