Reapertura de la ermita de San Roque en Fortuna

Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes of Cartagena presided over the blessing and reopening of the San Roque hermitage in Fortuna. The reopening follows a six year rehabilitation process to restore the temple.

During the celebration, a procession carried the image of the town's patron, Saint Roque, from the Parish of the Purísima back to the hermitage. Parish priest Juan Carlos Ponce noted that the event saw large crowds of faithful people who participated in the celebration to mark the return of the saint to the restored building.

Ponce credited a dedicated team for the detailed work required to recover the temple over the last six years. During the rite, Bishop Lorca Planes invited the community to view the life of Saint Roque as a reachable example of holiness.
