Meta pays $16.68 billion to settle US states' lawsuit

Meta has agreed to pay $16.68 billion to settle a lawsuit with 29 US states and territories. The company will also implement measures to protect children from addiction. Meta is accused of using mechanisms that encourage addiction in children.
