Rome has prohibited the celebration of the pontifical Mass for the XV International Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage to the See of Peter at St. Peter's Basilica. The event, scheduled for October 23 to 25, must move the Mass to St. Mary Major.

This follows a 2025 authorization that allowed Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke to preside over the celebration at St. Peter's Basilica.
