The Diocese of Fortaleza recognizes St. Nicholas of Tolentino, St. Menodora, St. Metrodora, and St. Nymphodora among the saints honored on September 10.

St. Nicholas of Tolentino lived from 1245 to 1305. According to the Diocese of Fortaleza, he practiced penance from childhood and continued these practices while performing acts of charity for others. He was called "the angel of the confessional" because he cared for the poorest people.
