Archbishop Emeritus of Maringá Anuar Battisti called on the Church to examine its internal dynamics and pastoral structures during the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Writing for the CNBB, Battisti suggested that the Church should apply the logic of the cross to its own growth and organization. He encouraged members of the Church to take co-responsibility for the salvation of others as part of a liturgical and catechetical journey.
