The General Secretariat of the Synod released final reports from the sixth and seventh study groups on September 8, 2026.

The sixth study group examined the relationships between bishops, consecrated persons, and Church associations, as well as the connections between episcopates and religious superiors. The seventh study group reviewed aspects of episcopal ministry, including the selection of candidates and legal functions, alongside the ad limina apostolorum visits to the tombs of Saints Peter and Paul.
