The community celebrated the Solemnity of the Nativity of Mary, the patroness of the local parish church, with a series of festivities that concluded on Tuesday evening, September 8.

Monsignor Simone Zocca presided over the final celebration. The event also marked the anniversary of the coronation of a 16th-century Marian icon. Many faithful from neighboring dioceses attended the celebrations to venerate the icon at the sanctuary. During his homily, Monsignor Zocca discussed the theological meaning of the feast.
