SPECIAL REPORT: Chosen to be living images of the Saviour, Archbishop Costelloe tells Salvatorians

Archbishop Timothy Costelloe spoke to approximately 200 people at St Simon Peter Catholic Church in Ocean Reef on Tuesday, September 8, during a Mass celebrating several milestones for the Salvatorians. Archbishop Costelloe, who is also a member of the Society of the Divine Saviour, told those gathered that being commissioned to act as living images of Jesus is an enormous privilege.

The Mass marked three specific anniversaries for the Society of the Divine Saviour, also known as the Salvatorians. The order is celebrating 145 years of existence, 65 years of ministry in Australia, and 25 years of providing pastoral care to the Ocean Reef Parish. The event also observed the 108th anniversary of the death of the order's founder, Blessed Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan.
