Tampa Bay Community Comes Together to Honor and Support Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

The Diocese of Saint Petersburg and local leaders will host a community event on September 5 to support people experiencing homelessness in the Tampa Bay area.

The event features a pancake breakfast and the distribution of more than 1,000 donated clothing items and hygiene products. Organizers also plan to give away gift certificates during the gathering.

Participants in the event include Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, District 5 Councilwoman Naya Young, and Brian Hoben, the chief program officer for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg. Other contributors include Tampa Hope Director Eric Marrero and John the Blanket Guy.
