He described AdVaticanum as being close to traditionalism rather than acting as a simple spokesperson for the movement. The portal aims to provide news and reports for the growing ecclesiastical and cultural traditionalist movement.

Edwards noted that his team maintains a full-time presence at the Vatican, including the Holy See Press Office, and also reports from the United States.
