Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco said Tuesday in Washington that he is reconsidering how much artificial intelligence technology should be allowed to advance.

The archbishop noted that recent incidents involving artificial intelligence agents during cybersecurity tests caused him to rethink his previous stance. He stated that until approximately one week ago, his perspective was that the Church should move forward with the technology, but he is now attempting to determine the correct approach.
