The Diocese of Tortona has expanded its scholarship program to support students entering university for the 2026-2027 academic year. The diocesan Caritas, the Missionary Pastoral Office, and the Youth Pastoral Office are renewing the "You study, I support you" initiative to help high school graduates pursue higher education.

The program has grown from its original 12 scholarships to 20 this year. This increase includes six new scholarships and two additional awards funded by a donation in memory of Adriano Simoni, a friend of the diocesan Caritas.

The program honors the memory of Giuseppe Dellagiovanna, a former parish priest in Agneto and Torre del Monte, who was known for his generosity toward the poor. The diocesan offices manage the fund to combat poverty and inequality by using education and culture to prevent intergenerational poverty.
