Vatican tells UN: women must lead as ‘artisans of peace’

The Vatican told the United Nations that women must exercise leadership to become guardians of life and artisans of peace as global conflicts increase. The forum addressed the implementation of the Program of Action on a Culture of Peace. This annual event has been held since 2012 to support a 1999 UN General Assembly resolution to promote worldwide peace and nonviolence.
