Vatican, World Council of Churches discuss salvation, reconciliation (Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity)

Representatives from the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches met in Bossey, Switzerland, from September 1 to 3 to discuss salvation and reconciliation.

According to a statement released after the meeting, the participants addressed three main themes: salvation and religious indifference, collective reconciliation, and religious freedom, peacebuilding, and Christian witness.

The World Council of Churches, which is based in Geneva, Switzerland, includes 350 Protestant and Orthodox communities as members.
