Two synodal study groups released their final reports on September 8, 2026, according to a press release from the General Secretariat of the Synod.

The sixth study group focused on the relationships between bishops, institutes of consecrated life, and ecclesial associations. The seventh study group produced the second part of the final report concerning Ad limina visits.

These documents do not represent final decisions. Instead, they serve as proposals and suggestions for the Pope, who holds the authority to make further decisions.
