Ludmila Javorová, a prominent figure in the Church, died in the early hours of September 17 at the age of 94.

During the 1970s, Javorová served within the underground Church by receiving priestly ordination to provide spiritual care in women's prisons and labor camps. While the Catholic Church revoked her priestly status after the revolution, she continued to participate in parish and Brno diocesan life and remained active in public discussions regarding the role of women in the Church.
