The Diocese of Antsirabe in Madagascar was founded as the Apostolic Prefecture of Betafo in 1913 and became a diocese in 1955. It is a suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Antananarivo, with current bishop Jean Pascal Andriantsoavina appointed in 2023.

History

A Latin suffragan see within the province of Antananarivo (one of Madagascar's five, centered on the national capital), the Diocese of Antsirabe (Latin: Antsiraben(sis)) nonetheless depends on the missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. Its bishop's church is the Marian Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette in the city of Antsirabe, Antananarivo Province.
