Metropolitan Archdiocese of Mendoza in western Argentina, erected as a diocese in 1934 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1961, with suffragan sees of Neuquen and San Rafael. Archbishop Marcelo Daniel Colombo has led the see since 2018 and serves as president of the Argentine Episcopal Conference.
