History
Based in Baie-Comeau, Quebec, this Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Canada (Latin: Dioecesis Sinus Comoënsis) traces its origins to 29 May 1882, when it was erected as the Prefecture Apostolic of Golfe St-Laurent. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Rimouski.
