History
Spanning parts of the Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Keewatin-Le Pas (Latin: Archidioecesis Metropolitae Kivotina-Passitana) has one suffragan diocese, Churchill-Baie d'Hudson. Before 2018 its suffragans also included the Diocese of Labrador City-Schefferville, dissolved in 2007, and the Diocese of Moosonee, dissolved in 2018. Figures from 2006 record 49 parishes, 3 active diocesan priests, 15 religious priests, 42,000 Catholics, and 3 religious nuns. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral in The Pas is the seat of the diocese.
What is kept by invitation
The record above is published because it is public: what this see is, when it was erected, who holds its chair, and where it stands among its neighbours.
The working record is not. The chancery's address, telephone and email, the clergy of the see, and the hours of Mass, confession and adoration in the parishes within it are kept for members, and a person reads every request.
