The Archdiocese of Calabar is a Latin Church metropolitan archdiocese in Cross River State, Nigeria, originating as an apostolic prefecture in 1934, made a diocese in 1950, and elevated to archdiocese in 1994. Its suffragans are Ikot Ekpene, Ogoja, Port Harcourt and Uyo, and Archbishop Joseph Effiong Ekuwem has led it since 2013.

History
Seated in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, the Archdiocese of Calabar (Archidioecesis Calabarensis) is a Latin rite see whose archbishop serves as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province with four suffragan dioceses: Ikot Ekpene, Ogoja, Port Harcourt, and Uyo.
