History
Facing the Ionian Sea in the civil province of Cosenza, in Calabria, lies the Diocese of Cassano all'Jonio (Latin: Dioecesis Cassanensis), a Latin see of the Catholic Church. It sits about 14km, or 3.5 hours' walking distance, west of Sibari.
