It is a suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bouake and its seat is the Cathedrale Sainte Therese de l'enfant Jesus in Abengourou. Bishop Jean-Pierre Tanoh Tiemele has led the diocese since 22 October 2025.
