Latin-rite apostolic prefecture based in the port city of Weihai (historic Weihaiwei), Shandong province, China, established in 1931 as a mission sui iuris from the Apostolic Vicariate of Zhifu and promoted to apostolic prefecture in 1938. It depends directly on the Holy See and has been vacant since its last prefect retired in 1970.

Based in the port city of Weihai in Shandong province, northeastern China, the Apostolic Prefecture of Weihai is a pre-diocesan Latin Catholic jurisdiction. It is exempt, answering directly to the Holy See and its missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
